HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We only process/use your personal data for the purposes you provide it for, i.e. to receive our newsletters or to be contacted in relation to our services.

We will also rely on the legal basis to perform a contractual obligation with yourself as this is a necessary action to take prior to you entering into a potential contract with ourselves.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION & HOW IS IT SECURED?

Merseyside E.V.C Installers Ltd has put in place measures to protect the security of your personal information.

We limit access to your personal information and data is not shared, disclosed or sold to any third parties.

We store the information you provide via our website on our in-house database.

All staff within the Company will take steps to ensure that personal data is kept secure at all times against unauthorised or unlawful loss or disclosure and in particular, will ensure that:

Personal data held on computers and computer systems is protected by the use of secure passwords; 
Individual passwords should be such that they are not easily compromised 
All computers are kept in a secure office environment with limited access. 
All of Merseyside E.V.C Installers Ltd’s internal computer data is contained within a secure virtual UK based server.

All computers are password protected and can only be accessed by username and password.

All computers are anti-virus protected.

The Company also has in place procedures to deal with a suspected data security breach and we will notify the Information Commissioner’s Office (or any other applicable supervisory authority or regulator) and you of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.

FOR HOW LONG DOES THE COMPANY KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Unless exercising your right of erasure, we will hold the data you provide for the same amount of time detailed in our client privacy notice, which is 6 years.

A copy of this privacy notice will be provided to all website visitors/prospective clients should you become a customer of Merseyside E.V.C Installers Ltd.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

Merseyside E.V.C Installers Ltd reserves the right to update or amend this privacy notice at any time, including where the Company intends to further process your personal information for a purpose other than that for which the personal information was collected or where we intend to process new types of personal information.

We will issue you with a new privacy notice when we make significant updates or amendments.

We may also notify you about the processing of your personal information in other ways.

Terms and Conditions

Electrical Vehicle Charger Installations

  • Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. 
  • Where you are unsure about any of the information supplied in this quotation, please make contact to discuss any queries, the company will work with you to explain any element you are unsure of. 
  • It is possible that issues may arise on the day of installation, these could incur extra costs or result in an aborted visit charge. 
  • Therefore, if you think there is any reason why we might not be able to complete your installation on the day please let us know as soon as possible. 
    Cancelled Installation

After acceptance of the quotation, there will be 14 days in which to change your mind and not go ahead with the installation, after this period cancellation will result in an admin fee of £80.

  • Aborted Visit
  • A charge of £80 may be made.
  • Cancelled Appointments
  • With only or, less than 24 hours notice will incur a charge of £80.

Delays

The Company will not be responsible for delays outside its control, every effort will be made to complete works within a set schedule.

Material

All materials supplied by the Company remain its property until paid for in full and until then may be removed from the site by the Company or its agents at any time, whether fixed or not and it is an express condition that we as the Company will not be liable for any subsequent damage arising from the removal of fixed materials not paid for in full.

Payments

Unless otherwise agreed, remittance is due within 7 days of installation.

Charges for late payment

The Company reserve the right to add administration charges, from the invoice due date for any late payments, should the Company have to employ other services to recover payment, the customer will be liable for all additional costs/fees, plus interest.

Variations

Any variation/additional works from the original quotation/estimate will be charged extra over the original quotation.

Warranty

The EV Charger warranty is the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Our Liability

We won’t be responsible for:

  • Any failure of the EV charger to function correctly; 
  • Any costs, loss or damage you suffer as a result of events outside our reasonable control; 
  • Any reduced quality of the electrical supply to your property causing the EV charger to malfunction due to under-voltage, loss of phase or other abnormality including a tripping protective device; 
  • Where an earth rod has been installed, any increase in the resistance to earth caused by seasonal conditions resulting in the EV charger malfunctioning.
